Young woman killed in Wisconsin car accident

While in their early twenties, most people in Wisconsin feel that they have their whole lives ahead of them. They likely have a variety of different goals they would like to meet while they still have the energy to do so. Unfortunately, the plans of one young woman will never be met after her death as a result of a recent car accident.

The accident happened one Saturday morning in early March. According to reports, a sedan driven by a 26-year-old man crossed the centerline into the path of an oncoming pickup truck. As a result, the truck slammed into the passenger side of the sedan. Both vehicles came to a rest in the southbound lanes.

A passenger in the sedan, a 21-year-old woman, died at the scene. The driver of that vehicle suffered serious injuries but is expected to survive. Although the driver of the second vehicle suffered only minor injuries, he was also transported to the hospital. A passenger in the pickup did not suffer any injuries.

The family of the deceased young woman is still likely coming to terms with her death as a result of the car accident. As they deal with the emotional ramifications of their loss, they may also realize the potential financial consequences resulting from funeral expenses and lost wages. Many people who have lost a loved one in an accident caused by another’s negligence or who have suffered a personal injury have sought compensation in a Wisconsin civil court. If negligence can be proved, such victims could receive an award of damages.
