Car accident with semi-truck injures 33-year-old man in Wisconsin

Motor vehicle accidents in Wisconsin can happen for a number of reasons. Some occur because of carelessness, drunkenness, disregard for the law or distracted driving. Whatever the reason, a car accident can change the course of someone's life when serious injuries result. Recently, a 33-year-old man was severely injured after a collision with a semi-truck.

A 33-year-old man was driving west when his car collided with a southbound semi-truck in an intersection. The accident crushed his car to the point of entrapping him. The fire department was able to remove him from his car and arrange for his transport to a nearby medical facility. There are no reported injuries for the 54-year-old truck driver.

The intersection remained closed until the accident was cleared. Reports state the truck driver was cooperative with authorities as they began the investigation regarding the cause of the incident. Local authorities requested state level law enforcement to aide in investigation.

The driver of the car is likely going to face many unexpected medical and therapy bills for treatment of his injuries. He will also surely miss work as he recovers, resulting in lost income. Although initial investigation of the car accident does not specify either driver as culpable, he would benefit from speaking with an experienced personal injury attorney in Wisconsin about his options for a lawsuit. If the truck diver is found negligent in a manner that caused or contributed to the collision, the accident victim may have a successful claim for compensation to help with his unexpected financial burden.
