Wisconsin car accident kills 1, leaves unanswered questions

A car accident can be a confusing and emotionally draining time for all parties involved. It can be especially difficult trying to sort out exactly what happened to cause an accident. A recent car accident in Wisconsin has left a lot of unanswered questions. One woman was killed and another has been injured in what was described as a bizarre crash.

The crash involved three vehicles, including an SUV that reportedly hit a pole before speeding on. After the initial crash, the SUV then crashed into a car. The impact was so great it sent the car slamming into the back of a truck that was in front of the car at the time. Although the driver of the car was transported from the scene to a local hospital, she did not survive. The driver of the SUV was injured and transported as well, but no condition update was available.

Officers working the scene described it as one of the worse crashes they had ever seen. While the police department continues their investigation and makes the determination on whether or not to file charges, the family of the victim may want to look into their right to file a civil suit should the other driver be found to have been negligent. Unfortunately, while they are grieving the loss of their loved one, they could also be facing expenses such as medical bills and burial expenses.

Any Wisconsin resident that has been a victim of or lost a loved one as the result of a car accident could benefit from understanding the applicable laws and local procedures. A proactive approach could also prove to be beneficial as the process in seeking monetary compensation can be a time-consuming and complicated. With an understanding of the best way to proceed, a family can be more hopeful they will receive a fair settlement in a timely manner.
