Wisconsin woman dies in alleged drunk driving car accident

In a single moment of inattention, often caused by something as seemingly simple as failing to notice that a traffic light has changed, a driver can cause an accident that will have long-lasting implications for many people. Unfortunately, when alcohol is combined with driving, it seems that the risks of inattention are even higher. Wisconsin police believe that a recent fatal car accident was caused by a driver who was under the influence of alcohol at the time.

Police say that the accident happened just before midnight one night in mid-February. According to reports, a 25-year-old man ran a redlight, allegedly causing a collision with a car containing two people. The man, police claim, had been drinking, and he suffered only minor injuries.

The 25-year-old female driver of the second vehicle died at the scene of the accident. A 31-year-old male in her vehicle also suffered minor injuries. Officials say that they are referring charges to the district attorney’s office.

In mid-February, most people are thinking about the people in their lives that they love. Unfortunately, the family members of this deceased victim were likely considering life without their loved one instead. For many families, such a tragic loss of life does not only have an emotional impact but also a financial one. There are legal options available to those who have lost a loved one in a Wisconsin car accident caused by another’s negligence. An initial consultation with a personal injury attorney could be the first step toward seeking the justice that grieving families need.
