Sadly tragedy can strike anyone at any time, but it is unfortunate when it could have been prevented. Recently, two lives in Wisconsin were changed after a fatal car accident occurred. As one driver recovers from multiple injuries, the other will be buried by a grieving family. Not only do accidents result in physical loss, but related expenses can add up quickly. Although, early investigation is unclear what action either driver may have taken to result in the collision, it was likely one that could have been avoided.
The collision occurred late one night on a two-lane highway. For unknown reasons, a 21-year-old young man driving a sport couple collided head on with pickup truck driver. The pickup driver was a 38-year-old man.
Sadly, the younger man did not survive the collision. Although the pickup driver did suffer several injuries, reports from the medical center in charge of his care stated he was in stable condition. The initial investigation did not reveal evidence that either driver may have been driving under the influence.
As the investigation proceeds, accident investigators will be sure to discover which driver’s actions may have resulted in the tragic car accident. Property damage, medical treatment for injuries and burial expenses add up quickly when accidents occur. Personal injury attorneys in Wisconsin can offer victims and/or the surviving family of deceased victims advice on how to navigate and file car insurance claims. They are also able to inform when litigation in civil court is a possibility against the party or parties believed responsible.
