Unfortunately, law enforcement officials witness accidents and tragedies on a regular basis. One Wisconsin sheriff recently reported that he is investigating one of the worst car accidents he has seen in his 40 year career. The car accident involved two vehicles and included four fatalities.

Reports state that the minivan involved in the accident was being driven by a 23-year-old woman. Her van included three adult passengers. Initial investigation indicates that she may have failed to properly stop at the intersection she was traveling through. All three of her passengers were tragically killed, and her condition is unknown.

The other driver was westbound in a truck when the minivan crashed into his vehicle. The 47-year-old driver was transporting four adult passengers. Tragically, one of his passengers was also killed. The other three passengers and two drivers were reported as injured and transported for medical treatment. Authorities are still investigating the accident.

Being involved in a car accident is often traumatic, expensive and life-altering. Unexpected medical bills can create significant financial stress during a period needed for healing and recovery. Unfortunately, losing a loved one in an accident can also create unexpected financial stress due to unexpected burial expenses and other financial losses. Victims of similar tragic and complicated car accidents could benefit from speaking with an experienced personal injury attorney in Wisconsin about their legal rights. Attorneys can help victims and family members navigate their options with car insurance and advise them with respect to seeking compensation to recoup costs through litigation in a civil court.
